So we made it to the peak.
We saw quite a few people soothing their aching feet in the mountain stream after they finished their hikes. It was cold! 
As you can see from the photos the scenery was gorgeous and this is one of the most popular areas. The lineup to get the bus out of town was almost as long as the hike. Here’s a shot of the line, this was after we’d made it three quarters of the way. Deborah bought us some lovely Korean street food for dinner to help pass the time (also we were starving after all of our hiking).
